NEW Buttercup Records Release - Buick KBT

John Billington

Bran' new Buttercup Records release from Melbourne's creative Post Punk underground circa 1982 -1988.

Buick KBT played a cool brand of Arty swamp and Skronky stomp and were a staple of classic venues of the day such as the Seaview Ballroom & the Duke of Edinburgh etc. Playing alongside VENOM P. STINGER, X, THE MOODISTS, THE GoBETWEENS (with whom they shared close history), THE LAUGHING CLOWNS & more, whilst also supporting the DEAD KENNEDYS on their 1983 Aussie Tour.

This Archival LP gives up 9 tracks across two sides and adds a further EIGHT BONUS TRACKS on the Download Card. From Studio Cuts to Live tracks off the desk & Rehearsal tracks, all mastered by Simon Grounds & sounding top notch!

You get two art variants of Original Handbills, a Colour A5 Booklet of notes & memories & a Colour Insert of detailed track info. Hand Numbered Edition of 200 copies with half on Classic Black Vinyl and the other on a wild SPLIT BURGUNDY/WHITE which look fantastic!

Excellent Melbourne Music history to explore and enjoy. This coming Friday December 1st the band reform to launch the LP with legendary band pals FUNGUS BRAINS (and friends EMPAT LIMA) at THE TOTE HOTEL at around 8pm for a paltry $12. Check 'em out!
